Francis Dogo Francis Dogo, Senior Director, Country Operations
Francis is responsible for in-country activities, including the aid management and Country Gateway programs. Previously, he worked for Bloomberg LP as a data analyst, specializing on fixed-income products and financial markets in Europe and Africa. Francis holds a master's degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Institut Cooremans, Brussels.

Gerhard Pohl Gerhard Pohl, Senior Director, Operations
Gerhard is responsible for technical operations as well as the online procurement and knowledge communities programs. Prior to joining the Development Gateway Foundation, he was sector manager for finance and private sector development in the Europe and Central Asia region office of the World Bank. Gerhard holds a doctorate.

Nadia Afrin Nadia Afrin, Partnership and Content Specialist
Nadia has a bachelor's degree in business economics and astrophysics from Agnes Scott College. She earned a master's degree in science and technology policy from the George Washington University, with concentrations in international development and space policy.

Aasmund Aasmund Andersen, Advisor
Aasmund works on the aid effectiveness program. He is responsible for the quality assurance of Aid Management Platform implementations. Prior to joining the foundation, Aasmund was an advisor for the United National Development Program in West Africa and South Asia, focusing on aid coordination and capacity development. He holds a degree in social anthropology from the University of Oslo.

Philipp Anokhin Philipp Anokhin, Manager, Systems Development
With more than 10 years of experience in the field of information technology, Philipp has worked as a research assistant, adjunct professor, programmer, and senior software engineer. He holds a doctorate in information technology from George Mason University. He also has a bachelor's degree and master's degree in mathematics and applied mathematics from the Novosibirsk State University, Russia.

Philipp Anokhin Emmanuel Aninye , Accounting Manager
Emmanuel Aninye manages the accounting processes and assists the Director of Finance with financial affairs of the foundation. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Nigeria. Emmanuel is currently pursuing his MBA with the University of Mary Washington.

Walter Arteaga Walter Arteaga, Software Developer
Walter has several years of software development experience from working at Backus and Johnston Brewery, Unique S.A., and IBM. Previously, he was the project manager of a customer relations management system using voice as interface. Walter holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in software engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica, Peru.

Sonia Biswas Sonia Biswas, Business and Policy Advisor to the CEO
Sonia has 10 years of experience working for the U.S. government, most recently as a disaster operations specialist for the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. Sonia holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University.

Kim Carter, Administrative Coordinator
Kim has more than seven years of administrative experience. She is currently working on a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Nancy Choi, Business Development Specialist
Prior to joining the foundation's aid effectiveness team, Nancy served as a senior humanitarian information specialist for the United States Agency for International Development. Nancy holds a master's degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Harvard University.

Alex Coleman, Project Manager
Alex manages software development for the aid effectiveness team. Before joining the foundation, Alex was a senior systems engineer for Science Applications International Corporation. Alex holds a bachelor's and master's degree in architecture from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana, and a master's degree in management information systems from the University of Maryland.

Elizabeth Corley, Director, Communications
Elizabeth directs communications at the foundation. Previously, she managed internal and external communications for an international development consulting firm (USAID contractor) with operations in more than 50 developing countries. She earned a master's degree in international policy studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a bachelor's degree in international relations, cum laude, from Boston University.

Stephen Davenport, Manager, Aid Effectiveness
Stephen manages the aid effectiveness team. Prior to joining the foundation in 2000, he worked with the World Bank, IBM, Computer Associates, and BearingPoint, developing technology solutions for the public and private sector. He currently holds a master's degree in international business administration from Georgetown University, and a bachelor's degree from Washington and Lee University.

Riccardo De Marchi Trevisan, AiDA Manager
Riccardo manages the development and marketing of AiDA (Accessible Information on Development Activities), he works also on the business development of the Aid Management Platform . He has a background in communications and marketing and holds a degree in international law from LUISS University in Rome, with a specialization in e-government projects for development.

Jean-Marie Eklou, Manager, Country Gateways
Jean-Marie oversees the program for the country portals. Prior to joining the foundation in 2003, he worked as a system analyst for DSL provisioning and implementation at Verizon. He holds a master's degree in information systems from Widener University, and a master's degree in business law and enterprise taxation from Université de Lomé, Togo.

Martha Fowler, Executive Assistant
Prior to joining the Development Gateway Foundation in 2006, Martha was the corporate secretary and executive assistant to the CEO for Development Alternatives, Inc. Martha served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Gabon and Togo. She attended the University of Maryland and Loyola College, where she majored in sociology.

Vanessa Goas Vanessa Goas, Intern
Vanessa interns for the aid effectiveness team. She is pursuing her master's degree in international affairs and international development at George Washington University. Currently, she holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Miami.

Isabelle Hauswald, Partnerships and Marketing Manager
Isabelle is a member of the dgMarket team. Before coming to the Development Gateway Foundation, she worked as a legal counsel for the information technology affiliate of L'Oreal in Paris, and as an international corporate lawyer for Schurmann and Partner. Isabelle holds graduate and postgraduate law degrees from the University of Paris Law School, and she has earned a certificate in public management from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Emily Kallaur Emily Kallaur, Business Development Specialist
Before Emily joined the foundation's aid effectiveness team, she worked as a consultant for the World Bank, focusing on research and analysis of economic issues in eastern Africa. Emily holds a master's degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Virginia.

Emily Kallaur Djamila Kerim, Intern
Djamila is the communications intern. Previously, she interned at the International Committee of the Red Cross where she conducted research on missing persons and their families. She has a bachelor’s in international management from the School of Management and Communication, Geneva, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.

Alexander Korolyov, dgMarket
Prior to working with the Development Gateway Foundation, Alexander was an information analyst with the World Bank. He holds a master's degree in economics from George Washington University, and a specialist degree in applied mathematics and marketing from the National Technical University of Ukraine.

Carmen Lathan, Manager, Administration and Contracts
Carmen manages legal agreements and implements operational and administrative processes. Previously, she managed membership and education programs at legal associations and worked as a director at a legal recruiting firm. She has a background in human resources and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Loyola University and a law degree from Catholic University of America.

John Lieske, Director of Finance
John is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information and overseeing budgets. Previously in his career, he directed financial operations at various nonprofit organizations including the Center on Budget and policy priorities and the National Geographic Society. John has a bachelor’s of science in accounting/finance from the University of Dayton and a master’s in business administration from the George Washington University.

Steve Markham, Webmaster
Steve is a member of the communications team and is responsible for managing the corporate and portal Web sites for the foundation. Previously, he worked as a consultant for the World Bank, and focused on ICT for conservation at The Nature Conservancy and ICT for international conflict transformation at Search for Common Ground. He holds a degree in international economics from Georgetown University.

Charlotte Moser, Manager, Global Online Communities
Charlotte manages content and partnerships for dgCommunities. Previously a World Bank consultant, Charlotte is the former director of development for the Association of Science-Technology Centers. She has a master's degree from the School of International Service at American University and has served as a lecturer on the faculties of two U.S. colleges.

Andrei Sereda, Manager, Systems Operations
Andrei Sereda is in charge of systems operations, working primarily on dgMarket. Prior to joining the foundation, Andrei worked as a Web developer for the World Bank. He holds a master's degree in computer science from the Université de Rouen in France, and a master's degree in mathematics from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Rouen.

Dana Sherman, Human Resources Specialist
Dana has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the American University and is currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at George Washington University in human resources development.

Bindu Venugopal, Technical Project Specialist
Bindu works on the aid effectiveness team. She has over five years of experience in software development and management. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked as a project leader for companies in India and the United States. She holds a graduate degree in software programming and management and a bachelor’s degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering from University of Pune, India.

Mounina Wade, Technical Projects Specialist
Mounina works on the aid effectiveness team. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked as a project manager for IT companies in Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal, developing Web-based applications for the private and public sectors. She holds a master's degree in computer science from McGill University, and a bachelor's degree in computer science applied to business management from the University of Paris, Orsay.
