Regional Coordinators


Regional coordinators strengthen the foundation’s presence in the field, facilitating communication with program officers in the Washington office and helping to promote ICT for development and aid effectiveness.



Latin America and the Caribbean

Carlos Cesar Yammal
Carlos Cesar YammalCarlos Cesar Yammal has been the regional coordinator for Country Gateways in Latin America and the Caribbean since 2006. In this capacity, he works with civil society, governments, and donor organizations to create new gateways. Prior to serving the Development Gateway Foundation, Yammal worked in the fields of education, science, and technology in Latin America and in the United States. His region includes Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.


Asia Pacific

Travis Harvey
Travis HarveyTravis Harvey was named regional coordinator for the Asia-Pacific region in 2007. Harvey will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all foundation programs in the region. Previously, he worked with the Mongolia Country Gateway as a business development and capacity building manager and assisted the Australian Country Gateway as the Web site manager. The Asia-Pacific region is comprised of Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Mongolia, Nepal, Samoa, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
