Central Asia Gateway
The Central Asia Gateway is a Web site created by the Country Gateway in Uzbekistan, along with their colleagues in the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan. It offers regional socio-economic development information and promotes knowledge sharing to encourage regional integration.

Armenia
The Armenia Development Gateway (AmDG) supports knowledge-based development in Armenia through its Web site and other programs, such as Silicon Armenia. AmDG acts as a knowledge center to connect with the Armenian diaspora and to encourage investment in Armenian products. AmDG is led by the e-Armenia Foundation and is a member of the IT Development and Support Council, headed by the prime minister.

Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijan Development Gateway is a volunteer organization that promotes information-sharing and partnerships for development. More than a dozen groups are involved and use the Web site to promote initiatives such as an arts and crafts e-commerce portal, e-development, training opportunities, and more. The Azerbaijan Development Gateway association is coordinated by the State Student Admission Commission.

Belarus
A new Country Gateway in Belarus is in planning, coordinated by the nongovernmental organization Information Society. The goal is to promote local development and bring local and international development communities together online. The Web site will be similar to other Country Gateways – sharing best practices, knowledge, and online tools.

Bulgaria
The Bulgaria Development Gateway has established a virtual community to promote democratic reform, sustainable development, and poverty reduction. The Web site includes a knowledge-sharing platform, best practice information, funding opportunities, and more. This gateway is a civil society-led initiative, coordinated by the Applied Research and Communications Fund under the umbrella of the Bulgarian Internet Alliance for Economic Development.

Croatia
The Croatia Development Gateway’s Web site is intended to be a convergence point for other knowledge portals in Croatia. The organization also tracks the implementation and deployment of ICT in Croatia and has established a Croatian Quality Network to encourage knowledge sharing among businesses. The Croatian Development Gateway is coordinated by the Center for Information Technology Gateway.

Georgia
Georgia Development Gateway provides a Web site and services for e-procurement, e-government, e-accounting, and e-learning to support local development. Offline activities include training sessions, distance learning courses, and consulting and publishing work. Georgia Development Gateway is coordinated by the Georgia Development Gateway Union.

Kyrgyz Republic
The Kyrgyzstan Development Gateway’s Web site offers a range of services to encourage development, including an online job search database and a directory of Kyrgyz vendors, products, and investment opportunities. It also offers an information center to support the activities of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), as well as an NGO directory by sector. The association is coordinated with support from the Foundation for Information Assistance.

Moldova
The Moldova Development Gateway provides a development-focused Web site and IT consulting for governmental and nongovernmental organizations. It supports e-government services such as document workflow and has done e-health consulting for the Ultrasound Decision Support System Project. The Moldova Development Gateway group is coordinated by the Moldova Digital Development Foundation. A new Web site is under construction.

Poland
The Poland Development Gateway’s Web site offers a wealth of information and online learning support for e-government initiatives in Poland, and acts as a consulting center for local and regional governments. It is also a publishing channel for Polish development plans and European funding information, and provides other services for knowledge sharing, e-learning and more. The Poland Development Gateway group is coordinated by EMCom.

Romania
The Romania Development Gateway’s Web site shares best practice information between business, civil society organizations, and the public sector on issues related to development. Special programs include online government tender publishing powered by Development Gateway Foundation’s global dgMarket service, and consultancy, training, and networking projects. The Romania Development Gateway is coordinated by the eRomania Gateway Association.

Russian Federation
The Russia Development Gateway offers extensive information and partnership opportunities for Russian development. It provides online discussion forums, consulting centers, a virtual learning environment, and digital libraries, and has created regional online centers as well. The Institute of Information Society coordinates the Russia Development Gateway as part of the Russian e-Development Partnership.

Tajikistan
The Tajikistan Development Gateway’s Web site focuses on national development issues, information sharing, and knowledge building in local communities. It also provides a database for debt resolution and policy reform, as well as e-education information that includes on-line training materials. The Tajikistan Development Gateway is coordinated by the Association of Communication Operators of Tajikistan.

Ukraine
The Ukraine Development Gateway is working to build the information society in Ukraine. The Web site includes an e-knowledge platform for online learning and testing modules, as well as a database of donors and NGOs. The Ukraine Development Gateway also supports regional information portals. It is coordinated by the Ukraine E-Development Association.

Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan Development Gateway offers a national portal and several regional portals which focus on development, microfinance, and gender issues. Other portals offer real estate and art and craft catalogues, Uzbekistan statistics, private sector development, and export promotion. The Uzbekistan Development Gateway is coordinated by the Center for Economic Research, and it is the leader of the Central Asia Gateway.
