China was a founding member of Development Gateway Foundation and has been working with foundation in several ways. This has included ICT work by research and training centers based in Shanghai and Gansu Province.

One partner, the Shanghai Municipal Informatization Commission, has completed the following reports in Chinese:

• A review of the prospects on ICT applications in the Asia-Pacific region. The report analyzes Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
• An assessment of the use of e-government systems in Asia-Pacific cities. The report covers 23 cities in 14 countries, and includes an evaluation index system. Countries covered: Bangladesh, China, Fiji, India, Korea, Indonesia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.

In Gansu Province, our partner the Gansu Information Center has organized network technology training for an agricultural information service, as well as workshops for the creation of small enterprises. Please click here to make a donation to support the work of the Development Gateway Foundation.
