Facilita, the Bolivian Country Gateway, aims to strengthen Bolivia’s society and economy through the use of ICT, emphasizing rural and marginal communities. The initiative is coordinated by Fundación para el Desarrollo de la Tecnología de la Información (FUNDETIC).

Portal Avanza’s information-sharing platform focuses in three thematic sectors: rural development, civil society, and youth. Dominican Republic
Impulsar, the Dominican Country Gateway, supports local development projects with a virtual forum for the social, business, and government sectors. A particular aim is to promote the participation of NGOs in public development initiatives by providing them with a technical library, public calendar of events, surveys, online forums, and more. Impulsar also provides business information such as a stock market database. It is managed by Alianza ONG.

Honduras Honduras
Development Gateway is an initiative led by RDS-Honduras (Red de Desarrollo
Sostenible de Honduras) and supported by COHCIT (Consejo Hondureño de Ciencia y

processes of systematization, actualization, exchange and access to information
based on national and local experiences to enable sustainable human capital

eNicaragua provides online information and tools to promote cooperation between the private, public, academic, and civil society sectors. The Web site includes community portals for different interest groups—from e-government actors to ICT students. eNicaragua also does liaison activities and workshops as part of the national follow-up to the World Summit on Information Society. This includes organization of the biannual iNicaragua convention. eNicaragua is coordinated by the Asociación Internet de Nicaragua.
