E-government Grants

Development Gateway Foundation’s E-government Grants Program channels funds and project management expertise to e-government initiatives that are scalable and cost-effective.

Governments in developing countries face huge challenges in delivering basic services to citizens and businesses. Yet these are critical to foster social and economic growth. The introduction of new processes and capabilities through information and communications technologies (ICT) can provide new ways to improve the functioning of the public sector.

The grants program was initiated with the government of Italy's Italy's E-government for Development Initiative, and the World Bank.

Procurement and Statistics for Effective Development

Public procurement, financial management, and statistics systems in developing countries need to be strengthened if aid and development funds are to have more impact.

Development Gateway Foundation grants focus on procurement and statistics systems, which can help governments become more efficient, effective, and transparent across many sectors. Past grants have also assisted with more general ICT needs in government. Please click here to make a donation to support the work of the Development Gateway Foundation.
